GDPR

Effective date: 30 October 2026

This page explains how AI Chat Exporter meets the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the UK GDPR, and how you can use your rights if you live in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom or Switzerland. It adds to our Privacy policy, which lists in full what we handle.

The short version: your chats never leave your browser, so we never process them. The only personal data we hold is what is needed to sell and run a Premium licence: your email address, your licence, your payments and the devices using it.

1. Who is responsible for your data

The data controller is Truedon Digital Solutions, Kenya, the provider of AI Chat Exporter. Contact for all data protection questions: support@aichatexporter.website

2. What we process, and why

We do not process your chats, prompts or exported files: they are read and saved inside your own browser. We do not use your data for advertising, profiling or automated decisions that affect you, and we never sell it.

The free version of the extension does not send any personal data to us.

3. Cookies

This website sets no cookies for visitors and uses no analytics or tracking. That is why there is no cookie banner. Your browser remembers, on your own device only, whether you chose dark mode and that you closed the privacy notice; we never receive this. The blog’s admin area uses one login cookie, for our own staff only.

4. Who receives your data

  • Pesapal (Kenya) processes your payment.
  • Cloudflare hosts the website and our billing server. Our database is stored in Western Europe.
  • Resend sends our emails (your licence key, renewals and key recovery).

Each acts on our instructions or under its own privacy policy for payments. We share data with no one else, unless the law requires it.

5. Transfers outside Europe

We are based in Kenya, and some of our providers operate outside the EEA and the UK. When your data is transferred, we rely on the safeguards our providers offer, such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses, or on the transfer being necessary to carry out our contract with you, for example to process your payment.

6. How long we keep it

  • Licence, order and payment records: while your licence exists, then as long as tax and accounting laws require.
  • Device records: until you remove the device or the licence is deleted.
  • Abuse protection counters: one hour.
  • Support emails: as long as needed to help you.

7. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you and get a copy.
  • Correct data that is wrong or incomplete.
  • Erase your data (“right to be forgotten”). Deleting your licence data ends the Premium licence linked to it. Records we must keep for tax law are kept until that duty ends.
  • Restrict how we use your data, for example while we check a complaint.
  • Data portability: receive the data you gave us in a common, machine-readable format.
  • Object to processing based on our legitimate interests.
  • Complain to a data protection authority, in particular in the EU or EEA country where you live or work, or to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office.

Your chat library is already yours: you can export it, or delete it by removing the extension, at any time without asking us.

8. How to use your rights

Email support@aichatexporter.website from the address you bought with, and say which right you want to use. If you write from another address, we may ask you to prove the licence is yours before we act. We reply within one month. This can be extended by two more months for complex requests, in which case we will tell you why. Using your rights is free.

9. Security

Connections use HTTPS, licence keys are checked on our server, claim codes are stored only in hashed form, and only we can access the database. If a breach puts your rights at risk, we will tell you and the relevant authority as the GDPR requires.

10. Changes

If we change this page, we will post the new version here with a new effective date.
